What will your typical day look like?
As an engineer, your day will involve design, deploy, and manage cutting-edge cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, driving digital transformation for Australia’s leading organisations. This role is for a skilled engineer who excels at creating scalable, secure, and compliant cloud environments. You will be at the heart of our clients’ cloud journey, translating their needs into robust technical architectures.

We enhance agility and resilience while identifying opportunities to optimize technology usage. Our team accelerates clients toward a technology-driven future by implementing both vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software tools.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
Your core responsibility is to assess client landscapes and design tailored Azure solutions that leverage the full spectrum of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. You will develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, and Bicep, and automate complex deployment workflows with PowerShell, Azure CLI, YAML, and JSON. A deep focus on security is paramount; you will implement controls through Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and Azure AD RBAC, while configuring secure connectivity with Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, and Private Link.
Furthermore, you will champion DevOps practices by building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Operational excellence will be maintained through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Your remit also includes managing core infrastructure, such as Windows Server environments, and ensuring business continuity with Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Backup.Why Deloitte?
