JOB SUMMARY

At CyberStorm Defense™, cloud isn’t just infrastructure, it’s the new frontline. We are seeking a Cloud Security Architect to design and secure multi-cloud environments for mission-critical federal systems at the IRS, DoD, and DHS.
This role demands a professional who can balance technical mastery with strategic insight. You’ll architect secure cloud environments, embed Zero Trust principles, and enable federal programs to migrate and modernize with confidence. The right candidate brings deep experience in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP, combined with the ability to navigate compliance frameworks and deliver enterprise-level cloud security solutions at speed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of IT/cybersecurity experience, with 5+ years in cloud security architecture.
  • Proven experience securing federal systems in IRS, DoD, or DHS cloud environments.
  • Deep knowledge of FedRAMP High, FISMA, CMMC, and NIST 800-53/171 frameworks.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • Identity & Access Management (Azure AD, Okta, AWS IAM, MFA, RBAC).
  • Networking in cloud environments (VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect, peering).
  • Automation/Scripting with Python, Bash, or Terraform.
  • Cloud-native SIEM/SOAR tools and logging (CloudWatch, Sentinel, Stackdriver).
  • Familiarity with adversarial techniques and defense-in-depth aligned with MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and implement secure cloud infrastructures in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Build Zero Trust architectures into cloud-native systems, aligning with DoD Zero Trust Strategy, NIST 800-207, and CISA standards.
  • Oversee secure migrations from on-premise to cloud, ensuring FedRAMP, FISMA, and IRS Publication 1075 compliance.
  • Integrate container and orchestration security into Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines and automated compliance testing.
  • Configure and monitor security tools such as Prisma Cloud, Aqua Security, HashiCorp Vault, Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar.
  • Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews.
  • Support ATO/A&A packages for cloud-based systems, ensuring readiness for audits.
  • Mentor engineers and advise leadership on secure cloud adoption strategies.
