Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join a National Security Contract through 100% remote presence. The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will manage and enhance cloud environments, ensuring system integrity and protection against cyber threats. This role involves designing secure cloud architectures, automating security processes, and implementing network security policies.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Security Engineer include:

  • Develop and maintain secure cloud environments
  • Oversee identity and access controls, enforce network security policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
  • Utilize Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate security tasks, cloud operations, and system efficiencies
  • Manage user access and permissions; set up and enforce security rules for networks
  • Monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities, conduct proactive risk assessments, and respond to security incidents
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud services
  • Ensure adherence to government and industry security standards, reducing cloud security risks

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR CLOUD SECURITY ENGINEER INCLUDE:

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Experience with Linux & Windows environments
  • Experience scripting & automation with Python, Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP as well as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, or HIPAA
  • Experience with system and application hardening, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, troubleshooting, and cross-platform integrations
  • Active Treasury clearance (preferred)
  • CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer (preferred)
