Infosys Public Services is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION (SCOPE OF WORK OR BRIEF NARRATIVE):

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to assist with ongoing and emerging work efforts under the CASI (Corporate Architecture Strategy and Innovation) initiative. The selected resource will contribute to strategic enterprise architecture activities that support all business areas engaged by CASI.

The Solution Architect will provide expertise across the following service categories:

  • Assessment
  • Evaluation
  • Requirements Analysis
  • Architecture
  • Design
  • Technical Planning.
  • Process Management
  • Reporting

REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, TECHNICAL SKILLS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB PERFORMANCE:

  • Minimum 11 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures, develop requirements, and identify system solutions in detailed measurable terms that achieve optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Strong proficiency in technical illustration using tools such as draw.io, Microsoft Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Expert knowledge of cloud services from one or more of the primary Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)(Amazon, Microsoft, or Google), and the ability to integrate cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
  • Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of performant cloud business software at scale; or current hands-on experience implementing cloud technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
  • Communication, orally and in writing, sufficient to develop and present management briefings; provide written and/or verbal guidance on technical issues; and prepare/present recommendations and reports.
  • Have practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Anthropic, and agentic AI approaches.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical competence in utilizing operating environments, tools, and technologies commonly employed in best-practice solution architectures.
  • Demonstrate automating complex tasks using scripting or coding skills, or tools (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
  • Understand the client’s business processes that support systems and operations related to writing architecture assessments assigned to them.
  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Washington, DC, Eagan, MN, St Louis, MO, Wilkes-Barre, PA, Raleigh, NC, or Morrisville, NC, or be willing to relocate to the area.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master’s degree program are strongly preferred.
    The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
