  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture best practices, microservices, and DevOps methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of federal compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and HIPAA.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Expertise in cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of federal healthcare systems and data standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CDC data platforms and systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams.
  • Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on Azure and AWS platforms.
  • Collaborate with CDC stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud architecture solutions.
  • Implement cloud migration strategies, including assessment, planning, and execution of workloads to the cloud.
  • Ensure solutions meet federal compliance standards such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and HIPAA where applicable.
  • Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security, leveraging tools like Azure Monitor, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and other monitoring platforms.
  • Lead technical discussions, provide guidance, and act as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture for CDC projects.
  • Develop detailed documentation, including architectural diagrams, best practices, and operational procedures.
  • Stay up to date on emerging cloud technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions to clients.
