ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to manage our growing team and oversee the production of critical components. We need a hands-on leader to help manage our small team of machinists and collaborate across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and lead a team of two: a programmer and an apprentice, ensuring the smooth operation of our Europe Machine Shop Department which includes 1 Mazak Machine and 2 Haas Machines.
• Work closely with other production managers to ensure seamless integration across departments.
• Oversee all aspects of machining, from setup to operation, ensuring high precision and quality of components.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and refine processes for complex components.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the programmer and apprentice to support their development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the shop floor, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Contribute to the planning and management of a potential third machine as part of our expansion.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the machine shop and across teams, ensuring clear communication and a unified approach to production.
