If you’re ready to take the next step in your machining career, we would love to connect! Job Description: The Senior CNC Machinist is responsible for machining parts utilizing Haas CNC mills. We are seeking a talented machinist with at least 10 years of experience with knowledge of complex machines, fixturing, and advanced techniques. Job Details: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday (1st shift) Starting pay $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience Onsite in Halfmoon, NY Job Responsibilities: Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations. Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy. Sets up tooling equipment, loads parts, reviews programming steps, and ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications. Makes minor adjustments to programs offsets if needed. Responsible for performing first piece inspections on machined parts. Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Expected to run more than one machine at a time. Maintain a clean and neat work area. Mentors entry-level machinists as needed. Skills: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 lbs. Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented. A self-motivated professional who thrives both independently and collaboratively in team environments. Performs effectively in fast-paced, dynamic settings, maintaining focus and adaptability. Exhibits sound judgement; anticipates the implications and consequences of situations and takes appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies.
