Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing siting, permitting, planning, licensing, compliance and environmental oversight of marine, coastal, geotechnical, and structural projects;
- Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;
- Managing the delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
- Assisting with managing waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects;
- Providing design and engineering services for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management;
- Preparing engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
- Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to obtain repeat business; and
- Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.
Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, marine, or coastal engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in civil, marine, or coastal, engineering. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of related experience overseeing coastal and marine engineering projects in the Middle East; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience in managing permitting, planning, compliance and oversight of coastal projects. (required)
- Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Experience with international marine design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (required)
