Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior COBOL Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and transformation of core systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, solid experience in complex environments, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. This position involves full lifecycle software development, from requirements analysis to testing, integration, and support during user acceptance phases. The selected candidate will also mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to the organization’s quality and security standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain software solutions using COBOL. Analyze requirements and translate them into efficient, high‑quality COBOL programs. Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Technical Leads to design and implement solutions. Participate in and support various testing phases, including program unit testing and system integration testing. Produce and maintain test documentation; execute test cases. Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Adhere strictly to internal standards, processes, and security guidelines. Assist and mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer. Engage with internal teams, business units, and external partners when required. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the IT industry: Program unit testing System integration testing System analysis and design Experience in multi‑regional transformation projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently. Ability to work in a structured, process‑driven environment. Experience in banking environments (nice to have).
