Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 annually

Job Summary: The Senior Collections and Billing Analyst is responsible for managing complex billing and collections processes, providing advanced financial analysis, and ensuring revenue accuracy. This role involves research and an in-depth analysis of accounts, resolving billing discrepancies and outstanding balances. The Analyst collaborates with departments to improve billing accuracy, ensure timely billing, and streamline collection processes. The ideal candidate needs to be an exceptional problem solver that has a keen eye for trending issues, analysis, and treating each dollar as if it was their own.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in billing and collections, preferably in home healthcare.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurances.
  • Experience with electronic health record (HER) systems. Matrixcare is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Deals with multiple insurance companies and understand their processes including navigating appeals.
  • Conducts comprehensive account analysis to resolve complex billing and collections issues.
  • Develops and implements strategies for reducing outstanding receivables and maximizing revenue.
  • Collaborates with finance and operations teams to improve billing accuracy.
  • Monitors compliance with billing policies, identifies discrepancies, and initiates corrective actions.
  • Provides reports on key performance metrics in receivables.
  • Analyzes collection trends and suggests process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains strict compliance with federal and state healthcare billing regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and adheres to company policies regarding patient privacy.
