  • Admissions Committee experience at an Ivy League school, with in-depth knowledge of the application review and selection process (required)
  • 7+ years of experience in education, specifically in admissions consulting or student coaching
  • Passion for mentoring students and young adults
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including editing and content review

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Senior College Admissions Consultant with prior experience on a college admissions committee and a strong passion for mentoring students. In this role, you’ll provide one-on-one guidance to students in grades 6–12, helping them build strong academic and extracurricular profiles, craft compelling applications, and navigate the admissions process with confidence. If you’re passionate about empowering the next generation and want to make a direct impact on students’ futures, this role is for you! This is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise students in grades 6–12 on academic planning and extracurricular engagement to strengthen their admissions profiles
  • Guide students through all components of the college application process, including school selection, essay development, resumes, recommendation strategies, and interview preparation
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact for students and families, building trust and providing expert support throughout the application cycle
  • Review and provide feedback on university research and school lists to ensure alignment with each student’s goals and qualifications
  • Create and manage individualized timelines and action plans using Excel-based trackers
  • Stay up-to-date on the college admissions process and programs to advise prospective and existing clients on appropriate school selection and the nuances of applying to college
