We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Contracts Manager to join our Property Services team. The successful applicant will play a key role in managing SNG’s outsourced contracts, acting as a commercial management interface between SNG and our third-party suppliers/partners.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You will lead the commercial management of all SNG third-party expenditures within the scope of the Supplier Relationship Management Framework. Using commercial management techniques, strategies and processes, to ensure outsourced contracts and procurement activities achieve their objectives, including customer focus, value for money, quality and social value.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Creating a highly motivated, skilled, and professional contract management team that delivers contract performance outcomes, aligned to business and SNG commercial requirements, with the capacity to meet business demand plans.
  • Act as subject matter expert for assigned contracts, providing professional advice to enable businesses to effectively deliver contract objectives.
  • Ensuring all contracts, they are responsible for, have a robust Contract Management Plan with defined procedures for delivery performance management, invoice applications, risk management and contract reviews.
  • Support procurement activity by providing best practice contact advice to develop contract templates and bespoke terms.
  • Ensuring contracts maximise value for money and have defined performance outcomes.
  • Ensuring all contracts have clear business ownership to track and monitor contract performance against KPIs and cost, quality, and time obligations.
  • Lead contract negotiations and applied diplomacy to mitigate contract risks to client benefit and where necessary develop contract litigation strategies.
  • Deliver service improvements through commercial management by working jointly with service providers, ensuring that the changing organisational needs of SNG are met.
