Put your passion, drive and expertise to work with the world's cloud security leader. We're looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Counsel to join our APJ Legal team. Reporting to the Director, Lead Commercial Counsel APJ, you'll be responsible for: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements in India, including but not limited to SaaS subscription agreements, reseller/distributor agreements, managed service provider agreements, data processing agreements (DPAs), information security agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor/supplier agreements, and other similar agreements with internal clients across departments such as Sales, Channels, Support, Revenue Operations, Product Management, Compliance, Cloud Operations, CISO, and Sourcing/Procurement Advising on applicable laws and regulations surrounding privacy, data protection, data security and intellectual property in India, with outside counsel support as necessary Working collaboratively with internal clients to improve and scaling all aspects of the contract negotiation process Advising internal teams to minimize risk while balancing business interests Conducting periodic employee training on any or all of the above topics What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in technology licensing and commercial negotiation at a leading law firm, a technology company (preferably hypergrowth SaaS), or a combination of both Law degree from a nationally accredited law school and license to practice law or as in-house legal counsel in the jurisdiction where you are based Extensive experience supporting outbound enterprise SaaS transactions and inbound vendor agreements, channel partner agreements, managed service provider agreements, and vendor/supplier agreements with data protection, data security, and cloud/SaaS technology components Experience with privacy, data protection and data security issues in the SaaS space, including familiarity with evolving sectoral regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks Demonstrated ability to deliver results and drive alignment on complex, cross-functional projects involving various stakeholders What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Ability to work autonomously, escalate as needed, and analyze contractual risks practically while mitigating them in commercial negotiations Organized, results-driven, and client-focused team player eager to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines(especially at quarter end) Capacity and desire to build trusting business partnerships with the internal clients you support #LI-hybrid #LI-KM8 At Zscaler, we are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve and the customers we work with.
