In this role you will provide strategic and commercial business partnering, analysis and insights to support leaders to make good business and planning decisions to drive better performance outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner to the Head of Commercial Finance, GM Commercial Finance & Planning, Exec and Business Leaders to support the delivery of strategies for growth and optimisation.
  • Key member of the Commercial Finance team, supporting the Head of Commercial Finance to provide best practice financial support, analysis, and recommendations to drive good commercial, strategic and operating decisions.
  • Support the development and execution of effective and efficient strategies and plans that are aligned to TVNZ’s purpose, ambitions, and values.
  • Ensure financial policy and procedure are followed.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following

  • Degree qualified, certified accountant or significant industry or commercial experience.
  • Strong background in commercial finance and business partnering; experience supporting technology-driven projects is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a curious mindset
  • A results-focus attitude
  • Always questioning how things are done to drive continuous improvements with innovation mindset.
  • Proven track record delivering commercial outcomes.
  • Experience using business insight tools such as Power BI, Business Objects and advanced Excel skills and financial modelling experience or other.
  • Strong communication skills, both with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Continuously look for ways to lift performance and add value and improve processes.
