Description

Working for Cricket Australia means that you become a part of Australia’s proud history and help us look toward the future. Our players and teams are successful, inspiring and reflect the values and aspirations of the community they represent. As an organisation, we are seeking to drive bold, transformative change in digital experiences, junior participation, culturally diverse inclusion, gender equality and sustainability, whilst also reimagining the W/BBL, building player connection through storytelling and playing our part in developing the game globally.
Our purpose is clear; to unite and inspire everyone to love and play cricket. Cricket is so much more than just a game; it brings people together and binds us all through our shared experiences.
This is your opportunity to join a purpose led organisation that truly makes a difference to Australians.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be successful in this role you will have a solutions based mindset, continually asking how partnerships can create deeper, more meaningful experiences for various cricket stakeholders and using those insights to shape innovative, high-impact commercial opportunities. You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, law, marketing or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years professional experience in a commercial, consulting, legal, finance or strategic role, with evidence of strong progression and performance.
  • A strong understanding of how businesses operate, make decisions, and assess value – with the ability to translate this into compelling sponsorship propositions.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills – capable of building trust and credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities, shape strategic narratives and manage complex deals or stakeholder relationships from end to end.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management capabilities – able to work cross-functionally, resolve competing priorities, and align diverse teams around common goals.
  • Proven ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments, balancing multiple priorities under pressure without compromising on quality or impact.
  • A team-first mindset with a strong work ethic, personal accountability, and willingness to contribute beyond formal responsibilities.
  • Strong written and visual presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas into clear, persuasive narratives.
  • Passion for sport and a desire to help position cricket as the most valuable and innovative commercial platform in Australian sport.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Commercial Growth Lead to join the Broadcast & Commercial department. We’re looking for a commercially sharp, strategically minded operator to help shape the future of cricket in Australia. This is a senior role with real influence – driving new sponsorship revenue, building high-impact brand partnerships, and helping position cricket as the most compelling commercial platform in Australian sport. A background in rights-holder sales is not a must-have – you just need the drive and instincts to sell big ideas and turn relationships into results.
As the successful Senior Commercial Growth Lead you will play a critical role in driving new revenue for Cricket Australia by leading the identification, development and conversion of sponsorship opportunities. You’ll own the end-to-end sales processes for new partnerships and will also provide high-level support across key account management to support the growth of current partners. Operating as a senior member of the Commercial team, this role will work closely with colleagues across customer experience, legal, strategy and marketing to ensure partnership proposals are compelling, innovative and deliver measurable value. What does success look like in this role? Helping position Cricket Australia as the most appealing and effective sponsorship platform for brands in the country!
