We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our growing commercial team! Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager (Commercial), this integral role will see you leading the commercial and contractual management of a major project bid, and working closely with our Corporate Development and Origination team. This role will suit someone with strong relationship-building and influencing skills as well as having bid experience.  This is an opportunity to work on a major complex franchising project for the Victorian government, which will see the successful bidder responsible for managing over 2000 daily services across Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network.  You will be accountable for: * Effective and timely management of upstream/downstream contracts and commercial activities * Liaison with a range of internal and external contacts  * Acting as the commercial representative for allocated project * Pro-active risk and opportunity management * Providing This is a fulltime, permanent role, ideally based onsite in our Melbourne CBD office.   About You: * 7+ years demonstrated experience in contracts management * Previous experience in rollingstock projects * Tertiary qualification in Law is preferable * Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence within a complex environment * Proven ability to problem solve and develop improvements * Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels   Our Culture: Downer is dedicated to nurturing our people personally and professionally through skills development, competitive benefits, career pathways and fostering a proudly diverse and supportive workplace culture.
