Job Title: Senior Commercial Officer

Salary: Up to £48,000 commensurate with skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Suitable related experience working within a highly collaborative team
  • High degree of customer focus and a commitment to meet deadlines and targets
  • Broad professional knowledge of Commercial principles, techniques and practices and application and understanding of the Commercial role in organisations
  • Good understanding of contract terms, contractual and legal frameworks with the ability to identify key contractual risks
  • Good awareness of various functions and the role they play as a part of an integrated project/bid team
Responsibilities
  • Support one of our products business streams on a wide range of projects, programmes and campaigns
  • Actively participate in Bid Teams to prepare Bid and Contract materials including the preparation and presentation of commercial bid reviews, ensuring the necessary approvals are obtained within governance of the Operational Framework
  • Review and obtain authorisation to agree contract terms and conditions including engagement with central functions to address specific compliance issues (Legal, IP, Tax etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of business, proposal and contract models
  • Support/Lead negotiation of proposals with customers ensuring this results in acceptable business agreements and contracts that align with business objectives
  • Close working with Supply Chain team to ensure proper flow down of contractual obligations
  • Establish excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Work within DOA and area of responsibility and use established and standard procedures and frameworks
