Responsibilities
  • Owning the primary relationship and accountability for the contractual requirements and performance of your hospital groups.
  • Supporting the development, implementation and performance of network strategies that support the health transition, including new models of care and funding.
  • Playing a strategic role and applying learnings from the success of partnerships already established to continue to build the number, size and scale of strategic partnerships and initiatives.
  • Leading all contract negotiations for your portfolio of groups.
  • Building relationships with external senior stakeholders to facilitate a better understanding of changes in the external health landscape and in supporting the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Working across business units in Customer (Strategy, Clinical, Analytics, Legal and Funding) to ensure hospital portfolios are managed according to the broader Medibank objectives i.e. health cost leadership, member experience and clinical quality.
  • Negotiating Hospital Provider Purchasing Agreements to achieve optimal outcomes for Medibank and its members, and in accordance with internal governance procedures.
  • Effectively managing governance of documentation in relation to hospital contract negotiation and management.
  • Working closely with Commercial and Data Analytics teams to derive reports and business intelligence to manage the hospital provider’s performance
