In this role As one of our Senior Commissioning Advisor You'll be responsible for leading the Site's commissioning activities of a combined cycle power plant, ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and operating in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. In this key role You'll works closely with our Stakeholders inclusive of engineering, construction, and plant operations teams to support the PMO at Gas Power part of GEV accountable for successful start-up, testing, and handover of Combine Cycle plant systems. Job Description Key Responsibilities Planning and Coordination Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and execution strategies. Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, and operations teams to align commissioning activities with overall project objectives. Support the development of system turnover and start-up plans. Commissioning Execution Lead and supervise commissioning personnel, subcontractors, and field teams. Oversee the testing, inspection, and validation of plant systems, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and auxiliary equipment. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical or operational issues encountered during commissioning and start-up. Ensure systems are commissioned efficiently and are ready for safe and reliable operation. Documentation and Reporting Ensure commissioning procedures, test records, punch lists, and turnover documentation are completed accurately and maintained properly. Prepare regular progress updates, reports, and technical findings for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain clear records of system status, deficiencies, and resolutions throughout the commissioning process. Safety and Compliance Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all commissioning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements. Implement site safety protocols and participate in risk assessments, hazard reviews, and mitigation planning. Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Support and Communication Serve as a key point of contact between clients, contractors, partners, and regulatory representatives during commissioning activities. Provide technical guidance and operational support to plant operators and commissioning team members. Foster effective communication across teams to support timely issue resolution and successful project delivery. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). Minimum of 7 years of commissioning experience in the power generation industry, with specific experience in combined cycle power plants. Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project environment. Strong organizational communication skills and attention to detail. Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural project teams. Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and site conditions. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
