Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical (Weapons) Location: Barrow-In-Furness - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Starting from £35,802 Depending on experience What you’ll be doing: Carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environment Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to endure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner Instruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competency Responsible for research, review & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation Represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation Demonstrate awareness of product knowledge Your skills and experiences: Ability to provide technical knowledge to emergent challenges Skilled in the use of Microsoft packages & company specific software Previous Submarine Weapons System knowledge is desirable Control of Works and Safe System of Work knowledge Testing & Commissioning air & fluid pipework systems, e.g. air, water. The Commissioning Weapons Test Section Team As a Senior Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical (Weapons) you will be testing mechanical elements of Fluid & Air systems, Nitrogen, Water and Hydraulics etc and you will also have the opportunity to support at sea trials. The role will provide you with the opportunity of working on Submarine Weapon Systems which is a specialist area with unique design and challenges.
