Design & Engineering
CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. The Opportunity
With steady growth and a strong pipeline of landmark projects, CPP is seeking a highly experienced Senior Commissioning Officer to join our supportive and skilled Victorian commissioning team.
This is a hands-on role requiring broad technical knowledge and proven experience working on Victorian sites. As a Senior Commissioning Officer, you will oversee all aspects of substation commissioning, ensuring the successful delivery of high-voltage projects. You will also play a key role in planning, scheduling, and executing commissioning activities while acting as the primary point of contact for project commissioning matters.

Managing and supervising on-site work to meet project, legislative, and regulatory requirements

  • Providing timely “As Built” documentation
  • Mentoring and supporting the Commissioning Tea
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Commissioning Primary and Secondary equipment within substations
Assisting the Design Office in preparing and developing HV system designs for projects and bids
Creating FAT and SAT documentation for installations to be commissioned
Conducting pre-commissioning tests and commissioning of new and refurbished parts and systems

Managing and supervising on-site work to meet project, legislative, and regulatory requirements

  • Providing timely “As Built” documentation
  • Mentoring and supporting the Commissioning Team

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL POSSESS:

  • Qualifications in an Electrical Trade or Associate Diploma or Electrical Engineering Degree;
  • Significant Ausnet/VESI/Electricity Supply Industry(ESI) experience in commissioning;
  • Relevant training in line with VESI or AusNet requirements;
  • Be proficient in the operation of Doble secondary injection test equipment.
  • Be comfortable with travel and working outside of Melbourne;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
