ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

The key accountabilities for Senior Advisor include:

  • identify and produce communications to support effective infrastructure delivery and program teams across the VSBA and broader department
  • create and manage specialist communications products as required by the role; these may include ministerial event briefings and speeches, presentations, web copy and social media, newsletters and emails, construction notifications, visual materials and reports
  • work collaboratively across the VSBA and broader Department to manage communications across the portfolio, acting as a key point of contact for multiple teams and stakeholders
  • co-ordinate and attend ministerial and other in-person events as required
  • contribute to continuous improvements at the VSBA and broader Departmen
Responsibilities

The Senior Advisor, Communications and Engagement, is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies, plans and products to support the delivery of high quality infrastructure and excellent customer service at the VSBA.

The key accountabilities for Senior Advisor include:

  • create and manage specialist communications products as required by the role; these may include ministerial event briefings and speeches, presentations, web copy and social media, newsletters and emails, construction notifications, visual materials and reports
  • work collaboratively across the VSBA and broader Department to manage communications across the portfolio, acting as a key point of contact for multiple teams and stakeholders
