Functions include legal, finance, human resources, communications, property management, health and safety, information management, security, and strategy, governance and risk. The Māori Capability Uplift Programme also sits within the branch. Bring your strategic communications talent to DIA and play a key role in delivering initiatives that make a real difference for New Zealanders. DIA provides a wide range of services and functions for New Zealanders. We look after everything from passports and citizenship to gambling regulation and the National Library. Our work touches the lives of millions of Kiwis so our ability to connect with diverse audiences is crucial. The Communications team champions those audiences. Every day we build trust and confidence in the mahi of DIA through impactful communications. We work with multiple Ministers, across different portfolios. There’s a lot of variety and plenty of challenge. We’re looking for someone with: Several years’ communications experience Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies and plans that deliver results Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to form strong working relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders Experience working in a government or complex organisational environment is an advantage but not essential.
