Your next career opportunity In this senior, school-wide role, you will lead strategic communications and complex events that elevate Melbourne Medical School’s profile. You will partner closely with senior leaders, to craft impactful messages, shape flagship initiatives and drive engaging storytelling across digital channels, live events and podcasts. What you will deliver: Lead development and delivery of an integrated School communications plan, ensuring alignment with University marketing and branding guidelines. Create, edit and distribute compelling content, including School announcements, news items, speeches and newsletters across web, intranet and social media. Plan and deliver end-to-end School events and hybrid activities, including promotion, logistics, protocols, evaluation and post-event communications. Manage School podcast activity, including guest sourcing, question development, access control, and coordination with the editor on production. Build strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing expert communications advice and acting as the central point of contact for staff across departments involved in communications and events. You may be a great fit if you: Hold a relevant qualification in communications, media or marketing, or bring equivalent extensive experience in similar roles. Demonstrate proven experience leading large-scale, complex or hybrid events from concept to evaluation. Write and edit clear, engaging content for diverse internal and external audiences. Use publishing software, email marketing tools and web content management systems confidently, ideally including Adobe InDesign and EDM platforms. Manage competing priorities independently, exercising sound judgement while coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders and suppliers. Demonstrate experience working collaboratively across complex organisational teams to enable successful communications and events outcomes.
