EXTERNAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Communications & Marketing Manager works collaboratively with the Senior Director of Talent and key stakeholders across Liberty IT to lead delivery of an impactful communication and marketing strategy which:

  • Generates effective and vibrant internal/external communications programs and campaigns that engage employees, applicants and key stakeholders.
  • Strengthens the Liberty IT brand and reputation across the wider Liberty organisation and markets in which we serve.

This role is responsible for the leading the planning, delivery and prioritisation of the work of the Communications Team for an interim period of 6 months.
As a People Leader that’s both strategic and creatively focused, you will ensure the team delivers an impactful Communications experience for our employees and stakeholders. You will lead engaging, impactful programs of work, illustrating impact through defined success measures.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent, the Senior Communications & Marketing Manager leads a team with specific responsibility for leading communications and marketing strategy, driving employee, applicant and stakeholder engagement.
This role supports and influences organisational strategy and internal and external marketing communications/plans.
The Senior Communications & Marketing Manager works to establish and develop a business partnership with the executive and leadership teams, so together, they can position Liberty IT as the partner of choice for parent company Liberty Mutual Insurance and an employer of choice in the local markets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3+ years relevant senior communications and/or marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in delivery of high-profile marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of developing and executing communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness.
  • Ability to think strategically and to manage teams
  • High level of creativity, strong decision-making and influencing skills.
  • Experience in building customer/business relationships.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a similar environment (i.e. Technology / Financial / Insurance).
  • Experience of advising senior leaders on organisational communication challenges.
  • Management of an external PR partnership.
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the aligned Senior Director to develop and implement an integrated communications plan to support Liberty IT’s organisational strategy.
  • Analyse, interpret and present key results of campaigns and programmes to relevant stakeholders for review. Identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the brand and PR plans, identifying opportunities to promote Liberty IT externally actively partnering with agencies.
  • Research and execute on marketing opportunities to increase awareness of Liberty IT both within Liberty Mutual and in the external market.
  • Manage campaign delivery to build and enhance the Liberty IT employer brand.
  • Build partnerships across Liberty IT to identify communications and marketing opportunities both internally and externally.
  • Identify and promote testing of emerging technologies and new ways of working to create greater employee engagement, alongside efficiencies and creativity across the team.
  • Utilise a range of analytical measures to assess impact and return on investment.
  • Lead and coach the wider team to maximise the efficiency of the department.
  • Manage the department budget, ensuring focused and effective spend with maximum impact.
