BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, public affairs or a related field or industry.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Corporate Communications, preferably within the financial services or similar highly regulated or matrixed organizations.

Critical Skills and Experiences:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Attention to detail and accountability
  • Experience in establishing trusted and productive working relationships with senior executives and leaders especially on high impact projects
  • Deep knowledge of the evolving media landscape
  • Experience with establishing trusted and productive relationships with journalists
  • Intellectual curiosity and rigor and the ability to convey complex financial topics in a clear and accessible way
  • Resourcefulness and high level of self-sufficiency in running strategic internal and external corporate communications programs
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to pivot when needed to prioritize critical and time-sensitive projects while effectively managing stakeholder expectations
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate, escalate and identify solutions to potential issues
  • Openness to learn and embrace newer types of technology and tools to strengthen Communications processes

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Internal Communications

  • Lead and drive overall internal communications programs for select corporate/enterprise functions including the development and execution of employee town halls, roundtables, fireside chats, regional office visits, etc.
  • Develop and implement creative content strategy for employee newsletters and intranet.
  • Collaborate with People (HR) partners, Global Head of Corporate Communications and Communications colleagues, Chiefs of Staff, and other senior leaders on change communications as needed.
  • Develop and produce impactful messaging and storytelling strategies and utilize appropriate communications channels and tools (i.e., videos, podcasts, etc.) to amplify these messages and stories.
  • Track and measure internal Communications effectiveness and impact and consistently report on Communications progress.

External Communications

  • Provide critical strategic and tactical end-to-end support on Communications campaigns, Corporate/Enterprise events and milestones (i.e., Major corporate announcements/press releases, senior executive speaking engagements and media opportunities).
  • Develop timely, clear, consistent, and accurate messaging that will resonate across a wide range of external stakeholders including the media, investors, analysts, policy makers, and other market participants.
  • Develop and implement social media strategy for key senior leaders in partnership with the Social Media team.
  • Support in managing potential issues and crisis situations.
  • Track and measure external Communications effectiveness and impact and consistently report on Communications progress.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,773 to $148,762.5. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
