Job Title: Senior Communications Officer
Salary: £26,000 to £29,900 per annum
Contract: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Hybrid working, including home working , with an ability to travel to Carers First service areas
Carers First is a charity that works directly with, and for unpaid carers, providing personalised information, advice and tailored support making it easier for those caring for someone else to continue living their lives to the fullest.

IT AND DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent IT skills including ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using digital marketing platforms, such as email automation programmes and content management systems
  • Creative and resourceful with experience of designing and producing content with knowledge of design software (Adobe Creative)
  • Experience with SEO
  • Experience using a CRM system

Responsibilities

As a Senior Communications Officer your responsibilities would include: -
1. Raise the profile of Carers First, building our brand awareness and engagement levels to reach new carers and raise awareness of the issues affecting carers.
2. Support with the delivery of our digital offer across England to expand our reach and engagement with carers online, helping them to access timely and relevant information
3. Create Carers First content for various communications channels, ensuring information us accurate, relevant, on brand and engaging
4. Proactively identify opportunities to share real life stories of carers ensuring their voices and views are heard
5. Support with the delivery of Carers First’s internal communications plan, delivering key internal updates to staff to keep them informed and engaged
