You are an excellent relationship builder with highly developed communication skills and significant experience in community fundraising. You understand the processes involved in delivering and following up on successful fundraising activity and are confident making decisions within agreed delegation levels.

Please note that a driving licence and access to a car will be essential for this role. There will be a regular requirement to transport yourself and materials as well as cash between CHAS sites, community sites and events.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

At CHAS, we are on a mission to provide unwavering care to children who may die young and their families. As our Senior Community Fundraiser, you will be instrumental in achieving this vision. One of two senior posts in the Community Fundraising team, this role supports a team of Community Fundraisers across Scotland to achieve ambitious income targets to sustain life-changing work and support our ‘It’s Not a Hospice’ appeal.

PURPOSE

This role is central to driving income generation and strategic development across Scotland. You will lead on community campaigns and projects, manage key partnerships and donors, and support the implementation of fundraising strategy and budget planning.
You’ll also play a vital role in coaching and supporting peers, managing volunteers, and ensuring effective use of resources.

WHERE DOES THE ROLE SIT?

Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll represent Community Fundraising both internally and externally and deputise for the Community Fundraising Manager when required.
