Description
Working Location: Kai Tak, Kowloon Employment Duration: Permanent  Responsibilities * To independently Lead and manage the corporate secretarial affairs of CLPe * To arrange and co-ordinate the CLPe Board meetings to the extent that these can, and will, be attended by members of the CLP management or CLP Board or committee members * Assist in the setting up and incorporation of entities in support of the new line of business of innovation and also assist in the setting up of the corporate governance structure for the new businesses * To take the initiative to, as appropriate, review, recommend and undertake relevant changes to the CLP Group corporate governance practices and procedures such as CMAMs, annual report disclosures and other corporate governance protocols * To contribute to possible use-case for AI on the day-to-day governance and corporate secretarial matters   Requirements * University degree and Chartered Member of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute  * A minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience with at least 5 years’ experience in public listed company * Strong understanding of the governance culture at CLP * Strong working knowledge of the leading corporate governance practices in the market * Strong understanding of the applicable corporate governance related laws and regulations * Ability to work with different stakeholders within the organisation in a collaborative manner * Ability to undertake, execute and lead cross-functional projects * Ability to think critically and approach and solve problems in a pragmatic manner * Effective communicator who is able to speak with clarity, authority and respect ABOUT CLP CLP was founded in Hong Kong in 1901, at a time when electricity was still a novelty worldwide. Responsibilities
The role involves independently leading and managing the corporate secretarial affairs for CLPe, including arranging and coordinating Board meetings for management and board members. Responsibilities also include assisting with entity setup for new business lines and reviewing corporate governance practices and procedures.
