Description

The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a key role in the administration of Healthfirst’s compensation programs and processes, including but not limited to base pay administration, market pricing, short and long-term incentive plans, and the year-end compensation cycle. This role is heavily data-driven, requiring not only strong analytical capabilities but also the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights using clear, user-friendly visuals and executive ready summaries.

  • Hybrid work schedule consists of reporting to our 100 Church Street, NYC office 3 days per week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of progressive compensation experience in compensation, with demonstrated exposure to core compensation programs (i.e. job evaluation, market pricing/survey participation, salary structures, and job benchmarking).
  • Advanced analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets, proven ability to transform data into meaningful visuals and insights.
  • Advanced level MS Excel skills (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and graph creation).
  • Experience using compensation management platforms a plus (PayScale, Market Pay, etc.)
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred), including data extraction, reporting and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise and visually engaging presentations tailored to a range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work both independently and collaboratively, and maintain a consultative/customer service approach with various stakeholders.

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $81,100 - $117,470
  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $71,600 - $106,505

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

Responsibilities

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert (SME) in compensation programs, policies, and relevant compensation legislation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Compensation and other members of the Total Rewards team to support day-to-day work and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Under general direction, collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Talent Acquisition to craft competitive compensation offers for new hires, promotions, and internal mobility.
  • Advise HRBPs on compensation decisions, leveraging data and best practices to develop sound, equitable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards, models, and compensation metrics to drive forecasting, budgeting, and decision making.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into simple, compelling summaries and graphical exhibits for various audiences including HR, business leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR Shared Services to maintain accurate compensation related data, management/grade levels, titles and system compliance
  • Participate in the annual compensation cycle process, including system testing, training, communication, data validation and processing.
  • Participate in annual compensation market surveys, analyze and load survey results into PayScale to assess Healthfirst’s competitiveness and inform structure updates.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve compensation processes and tools to ensure timely and accurate administration and communication.
