The Hong Kong Senior Compliance Manager plays an integral role in the Asia Pacific (AP) Business & Regulatory Compliance team to ensure AllianzGI’s operating entity in Hong Kong (i.e., AllianzGI AP) comply with the relevant local regulations and global policies of AllianzGI. The team is an integral part of the Global Business & Regulatory Compliance Team and collaborates closely with Compliance and Legal teams across AP and globally to ensure adherence to Allianz Group policies, regional regulatory requirements, client expectations, and industry standards. What you will do Lead and manage the Compliance team in Hong Kong, ensuring high standards of regulatory oversight and execution Design and oversee the local compliance program in Hong Kong, aligned with the Global Compliance functional strategy and framework. This includes maintaining the local regulatory manual, providing business advisory, monitoring the Code of Ethics, delivering compliance training, and conducting testing and regulatory compliance activities Work closely with the AP (ex. Taiwan) Head of Business & Regulatory Compliance on regional and global compliance projects on an ad-hoc basis Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within compliance operations and work closely with IT business enablement team and other internal stakeholders to manage the required implementation Build and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with senior business stakeholders across various functions in Hong Kong Provide compliance advice on a broad range of business topics, including retail marketing and cross-border activities Provide strategic compliance and regulatory guidance on business projects and initiatives in Hong Kong, such as Mutual Fund Recognition (MRF) Serve as the key point of contact with the SFC and other local regulators, managing regulatory submissions, examinations, and responses to inquiries Represent AllianzGI AP in industry associations and regulatory events, contributing to external engagement and thought leadership What you bring University degree in law, finance, business management or similar qualification 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in asset management, with a strong background in governance functions such as Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, or Internal Audit Strong knowledge of Hong Kong's regulatory landscape, with extensive experience liaising with key regulators such as the SFC and MPFA Deep understanding of asset management, including robust business and product expertise across a range of investment solutions Highly motivated and solution-oriented, with a strategic mindset and proven ability to adapt to dynamic market and regulatory environments Exceptional analytical and communication skills, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration and clear articulation of complex issues Have a strong “change and transformation” mindset and curiosity in exploring technology and innovative solutions to achieve process optimization and efficiency.
