Why does the job exist?
This position will be responsible for final review of applications to determine applicants have met the standards for registration. Incumbent will provide documentation regarding applications to the Exam Reciprocity Committee. This includes investigating complaints at the direction of the Board of Examiners for Architects Enforcement Subcommittee and working with the Rules and Regulation Committee regarding changes to the Rules and acts as the liaison with the State Records and Archives regarding rule changes, hearings, and notices. Preference will be given to applicants with an ability to speak, read, and write Spanish.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and one (1) year of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated December 19, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified be the Centers for Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care setting, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. In-state and out-of-state travel may be required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
