About the Role StraitsX is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to ensure our operations meet all regulatory requirements, particularly those set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). This role is critical in coordinating audits, conducting quality assurance, developing policy, and ensuring robust anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financing of terrorism (CFT) controls across the organization. What You Will Do Lead key regulatory and AML audit initiatives, including MAS licensing assurance reviews and annual statutory audits, while supporting the preparation of board and shareholder resolutions. Conduct independent quality assurance reviews on onboarding, name screening, and other AML/CFT-critical processes to strengthen internal controls. Identify compliance gaps and drive remediation efforts, working cross-functionally to implement timely and effective corrective actions. Manage all external due-diligence requests, ensuring accurate, complete, and prompt delivery of documentation to partners and stakeholders. Oversee vendor governance and outsourcing compliance, including policy updates and due-diligence assessments aligned with MAS guidelines. Support corporate governance and access management, ensuring smooth handling and retrieval of essential documents. Contribute to continuous compliance improvement, helping the organization stay ahead of evolving regulatory and AML/CFT expectations. What We Are Looking For Proven experience in a Compliance, Audit, or Risk role within the financial services industry, preferably in Singapore. Knowledge of MAS regulations, notices, and guidelines, specifically related to AML/CFT and Outsourcing. Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate regulatory and statutory compliance audits. Strong analytical skills for conducting quality assurance reviews. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy development and delivering training. Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) is advantageous
