Saalex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer and Information Research Scientist specializing in Logistics Information Technology to join our dynamic team.
Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent
Salary: $80K-$250K (depending on experience)
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

BA/BS degree in an Engineering, Computer Science/IT, or Technical discipline and 7 years of experience, OR AA/AS degree and 11 years of experience, OR HS Diploma/GED and 13 years of experience required.

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT integration, business processes, technical solutions, data analytics, and the latest technologies such as XR (Extended Reality).
• This role involves developing and implementing advanced IT solutions to optimize logistics operations and enhance decision support systems.
• The candidate will conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or solutions integrators optimizing the application of IT.
• Develop solutions to problems regarding the integration of business processes, shared technical standards (DoD and Industry), and IT.
• Apply expertise to support program development, project execution, business and technical operations, evaluation of technical solutions, strategic initiatives, workforce development, or to support technical and organizational efforts to apply new IT (hardware and software) tools into effective and efficient performance support tools used within U.S. Navy Logistics.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
