Description

ABOUT US

At Phantom AI, we’ve built a team of incredibly talented and ambitious people challenging the norm in the automotive industry. We are building cost-effective L2/L3 solutions to reduce the burden of everyday driving and make the roads safe for everyone. For instance, we believe democratizing technologies such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Emergency Lane Support is the first priority before tackling a fully self-driving vehicle. Our main customers are Tier 1 automotive manufacturers who are focused on delivering L2/L3 solutions and in the future will deliver full autonomy.
We differentiate ourselves from other autonomous driving startups through a combination of state-of-the-art technological know-how and real automotive experiences of shipping ADAS systems at a volume production scale. If you feel that you have the passion, commitment, and drive to challenge the status quo within the automotive industry, we would love to hear from you.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Computer Vision, Robotics, or a closely related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Python programming with strong software design skills.
  • Extensive experience applying computer vision techniques to camera and LiDAR data for perception tasks.
  • Deep understanding of and practical experience with perception systems in autonomous systems.
  • Familiarity with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, OpenVX, and CUDA for accelerated computing.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, including regression, clustering, and classification techniques.
  • Experience implementing state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms in real-world applications.
  • Ph.D. in a related field (Machine Learning, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, etc.).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, particularly in Linux environments.
  • Experience deploying deep learning models to embedded systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team setting.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced deep learning architectures to enhance ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) perception features.
  • Continuously maintain and improve existing deep learning models by optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and refining structural elements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues in deployed deep learning models and implement effective solutions.
  • Enhance the performance of models while reducing computational resource consumption.
  • Integrate deep learning algorithms into target devices for efficient deployment.
  • Report regularly to the manager on development, maintenance progress, and optimization activities.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data annotators, and platform engineers to ensure seamless data pipeline and model integration.
