Description
Main Responsibilities: Co-ordinate with Project Engineer and with other Construction engineers in proactively progressing the works and in identifying bottlenecks from mechanical construction point of view in order to achieve project objectives. Lead and conduct the review/comments on mechanical related technical documents such as specifications, drawings, proposals and manuals, vendor/contractor documents, method statements, construction procedures and methodologies, work sequence, etc. during the project or as required and ensure timely feedback to project team at Head office. Supervise construction works related to mechanical discipline and ensures that activities are being carried out as per approved procedures; which should be aligned to relevant international codes and standards, best/recommended engineering and construction industry practices and quality control and assurance procedures. Review/recommend quality inspection plans related to mechanical discipline, coordinate with project QA/QC team to ensure implementation of agreed plans and ensure timely resolution of respective quality related issues to meet project QA/QC objectives i.e. implementation of project specifications, HSE and Company procedures/guidelines/policies at all stages of construction and to implement construction activities in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Metallurgy Engineering Professional competencies: Knowledge of Construction Management/Mechanical/Piping and Rotatory Equipment (including development/improvement of construction procedures and methodologies), HSE and Quality Control / Assurance. Experience: At least 5 years of the relevant industry’s experience.
Responsibilities
The Senior Construction Engineer will coordinate with the Project Engineer and other construction engineers to progress mechanical construction works and identify bottlenecks. They will also supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and relevant standards.
