Description
We’re an AI-native, human-led business built to help clients reimagine, reinvent, and lead their markets into the AI era. We bring the imagination, intellectual cut-through, execution smarts, and adaptive approach to collaboration required to help leaders deliver real change. Through our consulting practice, we work with clients in central Government, health and care, education – and increasingly with enterprise clients – across a combination of sophisticated strategy, innovation, transformation, and capability-building engagements. Through A WORKS we collaborate with thought leaders, innovators, and AI-specialist developers to tackle the biggest problems we face in public service, health and education – setting aside the consulting commercial model to work in whatever ways best solve the problem. In partnership with our AI-specialist development team, we’re building innovative new tools that will transform our clients’ organisations and customer experiences – some for clients on a consulting basis, some through A WORKS that we will take to market as products. We are a business powered by the passion, grit, insight, intellect, and execution-smarts of our people: a tightly knit team of market experts, willing to challenge market convention, and our colleagues, in pursuit of the transformational change we believe is possible. As our work becomes increasingly digital in nature, we’re looking to recruit an AI product manager with a strong technical skillset – able to work with clients, collaborators, colleagues and our development team to define and build exceptional AI products. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Role specification Work with clients and colleagues to define clearly the problem to be solved – including the customer pain points, dependencies, scoping boundaries, and success measures. Establish a deep, substantial, and nuanced, understanding of user needs, workflows, and behaviours through a combination of research, interviews, and business analysis. Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and subject matter experts to explore how we can leverage AI to address the user problem and generate exponential impact. Support clients, colleagues, and subject matter experts to define detailed business requirements to the level of detail required to support product definition. Translate business requirements into build-ready functional and non-functional technical requirements which can be used to commission and manage development work. Provide clients and colleagues with informed, intelligent-customer advice on the likely development cost implications of requirements decisions. Collaborate with, and manage the work of, development teams through the requirements, build, test, operate, and improve phases on behalf of clients / colleagues. Lead product testing, piloting, and validation activities – including user acceptance testing and exploration of further opportunities for innovation and impact. Lead product adoption and enablement activities, including engagement with client’s business users and technical teams to facilitate timely and effective deployment. Monitor product performance and benefits realisation, both with individual clients and at the aggregate level; identify and address issues; identify and propose improvements. Support senior leaders’ consideration of the strategic roadmap for individual products, including interdependence between related A WORKS products and projects. Person specification Proven technical expertise in product management, including requirements definition and management of relationships with on and offshore development teams. High levels of ambition, energy and resilience, consistent with the firm’s plans for future diversification and growth – and the implications of that trajectory for the role. Experience and enjoyment working in an acutely entrepreneurial, commercial and creative organisational context to drive performance and growth. Strong communication and people management skills – both with clients and stakeholders, and internally working across dynamic, matrix, structures. High levels of precision and presentational pride with respect to work product of all kinds. We presume that how you do one thing is how you do everything. Working location You will be expected to work at least two days in the firm’s Farringdon office in London. Package Basic salary from £60,000 to £85,000 p.a.
