PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Data Architect (Microsoft SQL Server) role is a critical position focused on designing, implementing, and managing SQL Server-based data solutions. This role ensures that the organization’s data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure, aligning with business objectives. Responsibilities include database architecture, data integration, governance, security, performance optimization, and cloud integration when applicable.
We are looking for a Data Architect (Microsoft SQL Server) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing SQL Server-based data solutions that support critical business functions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to create scalable and high-performance database architectures, optimize data processes, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and data modeling
- Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL Database)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and big data technologies
- Prior experience in government contracting or federal data environments
- Proficiency in automation tools for database maintenance and monitoring
