JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer DevOps to lead efforts in automating Cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will focus on building automation for Cloud Landing Zones and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of cloud solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced AWS Dev ops engineer
  • Experience with AWS services like S3, Data Lakes, Glue, IAM, Data Pipelines, Lambda, QuickSight, Redshift, Fargate.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services, especially EKS and data-related services (e.g., S3, RDS Postgres, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
  • Should be able to support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge on Gitlab Runners

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Manage and maintain a large-scale Kubernetes cluster deployed on AWS EKS, supporting a number of critical production applications.
 Performed regular health checks and cluster monitoring to identify and troubleshoot potential issues proactively.
 Knowledge and configuration of security best practices for cluster hardening and access control.
 Optimize cluster performance by scaling resources, scheduling pods efficiently, and implement container image optimization strategies.
 Enforced governance rules within the Kubernetes cluster, regulating resource usage, quotas, and access control for deployments using Kyverno.
 Automated infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and management using Terraform state management and remote-state backends (e.g., S3, Cloud Storage).
 Developed reusable and modular Terraform modules to promote code maintainability and consistency.
 Implement security best practices within Terraform configurations for securing cloud resources and access control.
 Optimized infrastructure costs by leveraging Terraform for resource tagging and cost optimization tools.
 Contributed to knowledge sharing by documenting Terraform configurations and best practices.
Automated routine tasks using scripting languages(Python and Bash) to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
 Collaborate with developers and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments, rollbacks, and rollouts of containerized applications using ArgoCD.
 Usage of Jenkins, Gitlab for building and provisioning CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications on Kubernetes clusters.
