THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for experienced Senior Consultants to join our market leading tax practice in our Corporate Tax team.
It’s an exciting time to join our high performing and growing team. The role will deliver great opportunities for you to work across a range of corporate clients including leading ASX listed companies, and large multinational inbound investors. In this role, you will work across multiple projects and clients, both autonomously and as a valued member of our team, collaborating with our global tax network.
At EY, the Corporate Tax team is at the heart of the client relationship in providing tax services to our corporate tax clients, and by joining our team you will be mentored by some of the best in this field to gain the skills and experience to become a trusted advisor, bringing the best of EY to our clients to deliver value add solutions and insights.
This is a hybrid position based in Warrang - Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

  • Australian corporate income tax experience, ideally gained in a top tier accounting firm, mid-tier accounting firm, corporate business experience
  • Developing client facing skills with the confidence to contribute to client meetings and build a network
  • An ability to articulate complex technical information into succinct, well-informed recommendations to your clients

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be central to helping our clients understand complex tax legislation by providing advice on corporate tax matters including M&A, consolidations, restructures, financing and assisting them to meet their corporate tax compliance obligations. As a Senior Consultant in the Corporate Tax team, you will:

  • Work within the team to deliver the provision of taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, including corporate income tax compliance, and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations
  • Assist in the delivery of the full spectrum of corporate taxation advisory services tailored to client needs, including ATO risk reviews, audits, and ruling application processes, with the backing of Australia’s top tax technicians
  • Be a point of contact for our clients, requiring you to collaborate with our specialist teams in bringing expertise to our corporate clients including in the areas of international tax and transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions
  • Supervise junior team members including consultants and graduates, fostering their learning and contributing to a positive team culture that promotes high performance, collaboration, and celebrates successes
