REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, you should bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education & Experience: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field with 5+ years in cost management
  • Cost Management Expertise: Experience in cost estimation, control, and reporting, ideally in utilities or defence sectors
  • Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or APM certification preferred.
  • Analytical & Technical Skills: Proficiency in project controls tools (e.g., Excel, @Risk and VOSE) and cost control methodologies
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Senior Consultant - Cost Manager, you will lead cost management services within the utilities and defence sectors. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet client expectations through effective cost control, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Cost Control & Forecasting: Lead cost management strategies, ensuring projects stay within budget and on track
  • Client-Focused Service Delivery: Provide tailored cost management solutions for utilities and defence clients
  • Cost Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare and deliver cost reports, ensuring financial goals are met
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate cost-related risks to ensure budget adherence.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team, ensuring alignment across project controls functions
