The Role We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Consultant to join our dynamic team in Sydney. In this pivotal role, you will support the Commission Lead by undertaking significant tasks across our service streams, including providing expert services for construction and insurance clients, as well as offering claims and project advisory. In this position you will be required to: Draft expert reports and claims responses/rebuttals with minimal supervision ensuring clarity, brevity, and impactful communication. Review, compile, and analyse records using scheduling or database software. Perform delay analysis using industry-recognised methodologies (e.g. Time Impact Analysis, Window Analysis, As-Planned vs As-Built). Act as Lead Assistant, overseeing technical reports, expert reports, and client strategy recommendations. Assist in preparing weekly progress reports for Commission Lead, managing team utilisation levels and upcoming requirements. Support delivery across delay consulting, programming, and planning services to contribute to wider project outcomes. Support the preparation of narratives explaining delay and disruption for use in formal dispute processes. Secure new client appointments and strive to continuously identify and deliver business development initiatives for the business. Proactively support a positive and inclusive company, including culture, reputation, and financial success. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying, law or a related field. Minimum of 7 years post graduate experience working for a construction or engineering contractor or specialist claims consultancy. Project planning/delivery experience is essential. Experience working on contentious disputes is highly regarded, especially arbitration and/or other formal dispute resolution experience. Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft large sections of professional reports. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience. Ability to process, model and present large data sets. Analytical thinker and problem solver. High level of attention to detail.
