Your Opportunity  As a Senior Consultant, Electrical Engineering, one must bring deep knowledge and thought leadership that is internally focused to support and grow an engineering team in technical excellence for the 350 N. Orleans Chicago building electrical engineering team. This position requires leadership in technical skill development to support the overall engineering practice team growth and development. Contributions to project delivery standards and work processes, quality control and collaboration with other disciplines is critical. The Senior Consultant contributes to differentiating Stantec from other competing firms and thereby positions Stantec as innovators in the industry.     Your Key Responsibilities:   Project Design and Delivery – approximately 80% of time  * Work with PM's and SMEs on key projects to review junior engineer’s drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, and other deliverables.  * Apply buildings engineering and project management knowledge while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budgets.   * Apply strong engineering skills, experience and knowledge to the design and oversight of the design for building projects.  * Act as a QC and/or Independent Technical reviewer on Electrical Engineering projects.    Technical Leadership – approximately 20% of time  * Develop, grow and support a team of electrical engineers.  * Hold project team members accountable for technical excellence, delivery standards, and best practices.  * Assist in managing the quality control processes, and project delivery for Electrical Engineering projects.  * Ensure compliance with best practices, including Stantec PM Frameworks Project Involvement.  * Maintain awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes within Electrical Engineering and AEC industry overall, disseminate such knowledge to team and firm, and integrate into existing processes and standards.   * Oversee Electrical Engineering Design delivery process and best practices and coordinate with other disciplines.  Stantec’s Buildings team is on a mission to become the world’s leading integrated design practice. Responsibilities
