(SENIOR) CONSULTANT – EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION (M/F/D)

We are currently growing our cross-regional EMEA Executive Compensation advisory consulting team and are looking to hire a Consultant or Sr. Consultant to join our practice, focussing on the DACH region: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Our executive compensation advisory colleagues in EMEA are based primarily in the City of London, but we operate a hybrid working model and this role could be based anywhere across Europe, though with a preference for a colleague based in one of Aon’s principal human capital solutions offices in Germany: Frankfurt (first priority), Munich or Hamburg. The Executive Compensation team is part of Aon’s wider Human Capital Solutions advisory practice.
Our focus is principally on clients in three growing sectors of the economy – financial services (including FinTech), technology and life sciences – however we are also growing in other industry areas such as retail, healthcare and energy/renewables. Our advice in these sectors is supported by “best in class” compensation data from our Radford McLagan Compensation Database, which forms part of Aon’s portfolio of human capital businesses.
We help our clients make better decisions on a wide range of business-critical areas including executive remuneration strategy, Board and executive pay benchmarking, peer group definition, incentive and equity design, corporate governance, regulation and ESG (as it relates to pay).
We provide invaluable advice to companies during some of the most exciting and crucial moments in their growth and evolution – from defining equity compensation strategies at a start-up, to preparing companies for IPO by building out an appropriate executive remuneration policy. We also advise some of the world’s leading firms – both listed and private – in terms of ongoing management of executive pay strategy.
We are looking for candidates with compensation or reward experience—either in consulting, multiple in-house reward roles, or a combination of the two—and who have had specific exposure to executive compensation, equity (share-based) compensation or governance/regulatory topics, ideally with work experience in the DACH region. As the role is covering the DACH region, we are looking for a candidate with native/business fluent German language skills for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provision of Executive Compensation consulting services; including supporting private companies as they design compensation structures specific to the challenges they face.
  • Supporting and project managing client engagements involving assessing business challenge and designing solutions and managing the RFP process with the client, Procurement and Legal.
  • Execution/client delivery of high calibre professional advice including client reports.
  • Developing and training team members on execution/client delivery.
  • Technical knowledge on Executive Compensation. To include German and Swiss corporate governance on Executive Compensation, incentive design including selection of performance measures, performance calibration, equity plan valuations, benchmarking and ideally financial services regulation
