As a (Senior) Finance Consultant, you are the driving force behind the development of finance organizations. You analyze, design, and implement modern finance solutions – from strategy to efficient execution. In this role, you contribute innovative ideas to controlling, management, and reporting, ensuring sustainable change for our clients.
YOUR EXAMPLE PROJECT
You are part of the "Sustainable Cost Excellence" transformation program at a leading industrial company:
- Analysis: You conduct a comprehensive cost and liquidity analysis, examine process chains and organizational structures, and identify inefficiencies. You use data models, benchmarks, and scenario analyses to reveal potential improvements – not only in terms of costs, but also in organizational performance.
- Design: Based on your analysis, you will develop a two-stage set of measures:
- Short-term booster for rapid liquidity relief in critical phases.
- Continuous improvements for structural efficiency and sustainable cost reduction. You define KPIs, build a controlling framework, and ensure that every measure is feasible and measurable.
- Implementation & Management: You moderate workshops with management and specialist departments, prioritize measures, and support their implementation. As a (Senior) Consultant, you act as a sparring partner for strategic decisions and actively drive the organization's transformation – from processes and structures to management models.
- Impact: Your project secures liquidity, significantly reduces costs, and creates an organization that is not only more efficient but also future-proof. Result: Greater flexibility, higher margins, and a financial organization that delivers a real competitive advantage.

- Finance Strategies & Target Operating Model: Together with our clients, you will develop and implement innovative finance strategies and the target operating model for the CFO area. You will take a holistic approach to financial processes, design future-oriented management models, and find pragmatic solutions to complex regulatory and financial requirements.
- Develop Controlling & Finance further: You bring your enthusiasm for modern financial organizations and transformations to every project phase – from the further development of controlling structures and the integration of business intelligence and performance management to the optimization of accounting and controlling functions. In this way, you align the financial management of our clients sustainably and strategically.
- Strategy & Innovation: You identify development potentials of the finance function, analyze opportunities and risks and derive data-based recommendations for action – always with a view to global megatrends and technological innovations.
- Modeling & Control: You develop integrated business and financial models for corporate planning, evaluation and analysis, and optimize control processes with modern technologies and BI tools.
- Implementation security: You ensure clear structures, transparent target tracking and sustainable impact – from short-term “booster” measures to permanent “enhancements” that make the organization more efficient and future-proof.
YOUR SKILL SET
- Academic Background: Excellent academic degree in a business-related field – ideally with a focus on finance and controlling. However, if you are passionate about our topics, you may have studied something else.
- Finance expertise: Experience in financial analysis, valuation, modeling, performance management and the development of finance strategies and target images.
- Process Excellence: Practical experience in the further development of controlling and management structures, integration of BI tools (e.g., Power BI), optimization of accounting and controlling processes, and handling of ERP/finance systems.
- Analytical Strength: Confident in analytical methods, planning, decision-making and moderation techniques; convincing communication in German and English.
- Business Development: Enjoyment of teamwork, initiative, and winning new projects and clients through confident presentation.
- Place: You will work on-site at our clients' locations, remotely, and in one of our offices in Munich, Augsburg, Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf, or Berlin.
