QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, e.g. from a leading consulting firm or a quantitative risk management function in a financial institution.
  • A quantitative academic background in e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or another relevant field.
  • Proficient in one or more programming language(s): Python, R, Java, Scala, JavaScript etc.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken. While fluency in Finnish is not required, it would be useful.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of financial risks and the regulatory landscape in financial services.

In addition, the following are considered beneficial:

  • Ability to independently design technical solutions that incorporate data modeling and integrations, data warehouses and cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and distributed file systems.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Responsibilities

You will be part of our Financial Risk Management team, providing specialist advisory services to our clients. The tasks are varied and, depending on your experience and expertise, your responsibilities may include:

  • Assessing clients’ data and analytics capabilities (e.g. data infrastructure and use of digital technologies) and providing advice and recommendations regarding optimal design, architecture and governance.
  • Building and validating financial risk models (credit, market, liquidity) for banks and insurers
  • Helping clients understand their business and data requirements and developing data sourcing and architecture strategies to fulfill those requirements.
  • Designing and implementing solutions for risk data integration and governance.

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering diverse projects, supporting junior team members, building client relationships, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to expand your professional network.
