Description
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
> 4 years of experience in the area of Cloud/ Data Engineering & consultancy
Experience with hands-on implementation of the GCP Cloud/ Data Engineering projects
GCP certifications (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer) or a strong record of delivering successful GCP projects
Excellent programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala (other languages a plus)
Strong expertise in GCP data services (e.g. BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub) and designing scalable architectures
Best practices in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Pulumi) with a focus on security and compliance
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Management or in similar qualifications
Openness to occasional travel (up to 30% of the time)
German, English: fluent in speaking & writing
Good presentation and communication skills
Responsibilities
Design and deliver innovative IT projects on GCP, with a strong focus on data-driven architectures and modern engineering practices
Automate deployments and CI/CD workflows using GCP-native tooling (Cloud Build, Terraform, etc.)
Build and evolve cloud distributed systems with an eye toward scalability and cost efficiency§ Provide best-practice consulting and support in the GCP domain
Collaborate within the synvert group on GCP-related topics
Identify opportunities and risks in customer cloud projects, spotting “Land & Expand” moments where we can extend business impact
Engage customers with clear, persuasive communication—from technical deep-dives to high-level roadmaps, adapting style to audience
Coaching of practice members, contributing to the success of the GCP cluster at synvert
