Overview Senior Consultant Financial Accounting & Due Diligence USA: Chicago, IL or San Diego, CA (Hybrid) MGO is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Due Diligence & Financial Accounting practice. This role is primarily focused on financial accounting and financial reporting, with opportunities to support transaction-related, forensic, and advisory engagements.The role supports clients across a broad range of industries and requires strong technical accounting expertise, rigorous analytical skills, and the ability to deliver clear, actionable insights on complex accounting matters. Key Responsibilities Perform financial accounting analyses including general ledger review, journal entries, account reconciliations, and evaluation of financial statements under U.S. GAAP Identify accounting issues, reporting risks, and control gaps, and assist in developing practical remediation recommendations Support month-end and year-end close processes as part of client advisory engagements Perform financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, including quality of earnings and financial statement analysis Support forensic, fraud, and litigation-related engagements as needed, including documentation and analytical support Prepare clear, well-documented workpapers and client-ready deliverables Collaborate with engagement teams and participate in client meetings to present findings and recommendations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field CPA required or CPA-eligible, with active progress 3+ years of professional services experience primarily focused on financial accounting, with additional exposure to due diligence, forensic accounting, fraud, or litigation support Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills; data analytics experience a plus Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 + Bonus programs #LI-Hybrid
