QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in concrete materials, construction, forensic investigation, or related consulting.
  • P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) in Ontario.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in concrete materials, durability assessment, mix design, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Consultant / Project Manager within our Concrete Consulting practice, you will lead complex and high-value projects, manage client relationships, and contribute technical expertise to a diverse range of concrete materials, durability, forensic, and rehabilitation projects. You will play a key leadership role in project delivery, client engagement, and technical mentoring.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage concrete consulting projects from proposal to completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
  • Coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing programs, and data analysis related to concrete materials, performance, and durability.
  • Oversee the development of technical reports, assessments, and recommendations, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Provide expert advice on concrete materials selection, mix design, placement, and construction practices.
  • Support forensic investigations of concrete structures and materials, identifying causes of deterioration or performance issues.
  • Act as primary client liaison on assigned projects, building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and solutions to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Support client problem-solving and decision-making with clear, technically-sound guidance.
  • Mentor and support junior and intermediate team members, providing guidance on technical approaches and career development.
  • Stay current with industry standards, research, and innovations in concrete materials, testing, and durability.
  • Contribute to technical papers, presentations, and industry events to promote Elements Engineering’s expertise.
