Company: Marsh Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Property Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Brisbane. Senior Consultant – Property Risk Consulting This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Property Risk Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to develop their risk consulting career in our Property Risk Consulting practice. Reporting to the Head of Property Risk in the Pacific Region, you will use your technical and analytical skills to assist in the development of practical solutions to help manage our client's property related risks. The services offered by this practice are focused on property risk engineering and natural catastrophe modelling, including the use of statistical methods and engineering fundamentals to support risk analysis, property loss control advice and cost-benefit analysis. We will count on you to: Lead the development of practical solutions to our clients’ property risk, including researching, collating, analysing data relating to property loss control Collaborate with senior broking and client executives to support their client’s property risk engineering needs Lead site survey programmes, co-ordinating with insurers to meet insurance renewal expectations Collate findings and analysis into presentations and reports Actively support the development and generation of new and expanded property risk engineering business opportunities and contribute nationally to the development of the capabilities, direction and profile of the practice Work closely with the team to develop consistent, innovative and sustainable approaches to the delivery of property risk engineering projects for existing and prospective clients Adhere to all established standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records for each project while keeping within assigned budgets What you need to have: Good to excellent knowledge of mining and heavy industry risks Experience in a direct client facing role Expert knowledge of tools and skills to assess property risks Degree in an Engineering related discipline 5+ years’ experience in an insurance or advisory role relating to property risk engineering Risk management experience Experience in leading teams to deliver large and complex projects from conception to completion Advanced MS Office skills – in particular MS Excel and MS Word Management of people What makes you stand out: Commitment to providing high-level client service Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills Experience in putting together proposals Track record of delivering consulting solutions at client premises Why join our team: We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world’s top insurance broker and risk advisor.
